Fountains

Fountains were designed for the purpose harmonizing water. They were designed for both practical and aesthetic purposes. Meeting places were centered around public fountains or streams where they gathered water for drinking or washing. Some fountains actually irragated nearby trees and gardens. Other fountains were designed to impress as they reinvigorated people. Fountains were designed to be symbolic, artistic or social.
