Water Fountains

The sounds of gently flowing water or the splashing sounds of cascading water not only are fascinating to watch, but are great tools for destressing. Today we are all faced with a great deal of stress with the economy in a slump, gas prices, hours cut, etc. We would all benefit from a little destressing. Fountains are a great way to do just that!

Bring Your Water Plants In

If you have topical plants in your pond, now is a good time to take them out. If you have time, it will also be a good time to repot them if necessary. Clean them up by removing dead leaves and blossoms. We put ours in the basement. We don't want them to freeze, but they will go dormant since it will be cooler for them.

Decorative Outdoor Garden Pond With Fountain

If you have a decorative outdoor garden pond with fountain, be sure that you cover it with some type of netting (you can get this in most garden or department stores). The purpose of this is to keep the falling leaves and other debris that is be being blown around out of the pond. The leaves become wet and begin decaying. This decaying is harmful to any fish you might have. It will also produce an unsightly murky water

De-Stressing

What has been stressing you? Your job, co workers, perhaps the drive home? In any event, I'm sure you are ready to relax and de-stress. I have found that one of the quickest ways to "unwind" and begin de-stressing is to grab a cold drink and head for the backyard. This is my private sancutary! Here I can gather my thoughts and put things in their proper perspective.
Just looking at the flowers, the birds and the watching the water as it flows, splashing into the pond below. Here there is the serenity that I have been yearning for. The sound of the splashing water is mesmerizing and is very comforting. How do you de-stress?

Prosperity Table Top Water Fountain

A beautiful woman holds a bushel of wheat in one arm while with the other endlessly pours the water from her urn. A classic fountain symbolizing fertility and wealth.
This fountain would like in a "sun room" or outdoor entertaining area.

Fountains

Table Top Fountains are highly recommended in homes and offices to help increase the humidity levels and decrease the amount of dust particles in the air. This will have a large effect on people with allergies. The sound of the soothing running water also helps to produce a relaxing atmosphere which in turn reduces stress.
Wall Fountains are special additions to your surroundings. Studies have shown that the splashing water puts healthful negative ions into your surrounding environment. This helps to control allergies by keeping airborne dust partials to a minimum. The sound of flowing water also helps to relax and de-stress you after a long hard day.
To really make a focal point in your backyard there is nothing like a Garden Water Fountain. With your Garden Fountain you will enjoy your patio or deck and have a place to relax and enjoy the soothing sounds of water, and watch the birds as they bath and drink. It also makes for a great conversation piece when you have guests.

Urns or Vases

I can feel the mist of water as a gentle breeze blows... This fountain is absolutely inspiring. Could you come up with a smaller version for your backyard? or perhaps you have an idea that is a little different?

Unusual

You know, when you are designing your backyard and you chose a fountain, you can design your own. Think out of the box and see what you can come up with.
While surf the net I found this unique fountain. It's really kind of clever.

The Benefits of Water Fountains

Water fountains – which come in tabletop, wall mounted, and Garden varieties – bring the soothing sounds of flowing water into the home, but they also bring a visual element. Not only are water fountains beautifully designed and able to complement just about any existing home décor, the water itself lends another dimension of stress relief to the equation.
Watching the dance and trickle of water as it flows across rocks, down textured surfaces, and into a basin at the bottom enhances our auditory experience. When we listen to sound machines or audio recordings of nature sounds, we may feel the need to close our eyes to block out visual distractions around us that take our minds away from the goal of relaxation. In contrast, the visual attributes of water fountains bring us closer to that goal by giving us something beautiful and elemental to focus on with our eyes as we listen with our ears

CROSS AND LILY GARDEN FOUNTAIN

The sound of falling water is so serene and peaceful. The area of waterfalls always is majestic and. Only God could have created anything so beautiful.
I obiviously can't be near a waterfall all the time, so I have created a small space in my home to replicate the sounds.
